Going to Bhagalpur for Vikramshila. Can I add Mandar Hill?

Easily — it's 45 km south of Bhagalpur via Bounsi (about 1.5 h), or Mandar Hill station is 3 km away on the Bhagalpur–Dumka line. The ropeway runs intermittently, so don't plan around it; the granite path is a fine climb if you start early before the rock heats up. Vikramshila + Mandar makes a tidy two-day Anga trip based in Bhagalpur. If you have another hour, Deoghar's Baidyanath temple is just over the Jharkhand border.
