Flying into Darbhanga for Madhubani. How far is the station and the town?

Darbhanga Airport (DBR) sits on the Air Force station on the edge of town, roughly 7–8 km / 20–30 minutes from Darbhanga Junction and the Raj palaces. Autos and taxis wait outside the terminal; there's no prepaid counter so agree a fare first. Madhubani town is about 30 km / 1 h north by road, and the painting villages (Jitwarpur, Ranti) are just beyond it. Flights come in from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
