Patna → Rajgir: train or road?
Asked by BiharTravel editors · 3 d ago · 1 answer
Two of us, no car booked yet. Is the train worth it or should we just hire a taxi?

Both work. Rajgir has its own station in town with trains from Patna, so the train is cheap and easy — but a hired car (~100 km via Bihar Sharif, about 3 h) lets you stop at Nalanda and Pawapuri on the way and gives you wheels for the sights, which are spread out. In Rajgir itself, tongas and e-rickshaws cover everything. If you're doing more than Rajgir alone, a car for the whole loop usually wins.
