Is 7 days enough for the Buddhist circuit from Patna?

Flying into Patna. Want Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda and Vaishali without rushing. Is a week realistic, and what order?

Yes, comfortably. A good order: Patna (1 day) → Vaishali (half day, 55 km north) → back through Patna to Rajgir (2 nights, do Nalanda from there — only 12 km) → Bodh Gaya (2 nights) → Gaya airport or back to Patna (115 km, ~3 h). Stay in Rajgir rather than Nalanda; the hotels are far better. Add Pawapuri (25 km from Rajgir) if you want the Jain thread too. Put it into the planner and it will pack the days and price it.
