Vishwa Shanti Stupa
Peace Pagoda · 1969 · Ratnagiri hill, by ropeway
A white marble stupa built by the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji order, with four gilded Buddhas facing the compass points. The ride up the 1960s single-seat chairlift is half the experience; the view takes in all five hills and the old city's walls.

Son Bhandar caves
Rock-cut · 3rd–4th c. · Foot of Vaibhara hill, 2 km from town
Two Jain caves cut from a single rock face with a polished interior like the Barabar caves. A 'doorway' carved in the wall and an undeciphered inscription fuel the legend of Bimbisara's hidden treasury — the British reportedly tried cannon on it.

Ghora Katora lake
Lake · 70-ft Buddha · 9 km, beyond the Nature Safari
A horseshoe lake ringed by hills, reached by tonga or cycle along a forest track, with a 70-foot sandstone Buddha on an island since 2018. The quietest spot in Rajgir; morning is best.
