Will be in Patna during Chhath. Which ghat, which morning, and how early?

The evening arghya (first offering, at sunset) and the dawn arghya the next morning are the two moments. Gandhi Ghat, Collectorate Ghat and Digha Ghat are the big ones — Gandhi Ghat is central and easiest. For the dawn one, be at the river well before first light (5 am); roads close and crowds are immense but extraordinarily orderly. Dress modestly, don't step into the water near the vratis, and ask before photographing anyone. Book your hotel months ahead — the whole city fills.
